Nov 19th, 2023 Film Festival Returns at Totnes Cinema

We’re thrilled to announce that the 6th Transition Town Totnes Film Festival will take place at the much-loved venue, Totnes Cinema, on November 19th. The event aims to bring people together through the shared love of film and storytelling, to explore ways in which we can live more sustainably in these times of change.

In the morning the café will be open as usual from 10am for the general public and there will be an opportunity to join filmmakers Emilio Mula and Edson Acero for a workshop in animation. Details about how to register for this workshop will soon be available on our website.

The afternoon will be a ticketed event from 2pm for the screening of two documentary films by Cornwall Climate Care, Food for Thought and Under the Surface, both of which will be introduced by the filmmaker Claire Wallerstein.

A very special evening will commence from 7pm with a guest speaker introducing the film King Cole. An announcement will be made soon on our website and social media channels, with more details including how to book tickets. Tickets will also be available from the bar.
