Join the Transition film festival for a weekend of fun workshops which explores the art of film making. Discover the skills to create an animated film.  Writing your own scripts, tell your own story and direct your own movie. These workshops are funded by South Hams District Councillors: Jacqi Hodson, John Green and Robert Vint.

Animation Workshop

AGE 7+yrs (20 spaces max)

Animator and filmmaker Emilio Mula delivers a workshop in stop motion animation. Please bring a digital camera or mobile phone to make pictures, and your favorite toys to bring them to life… kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

CINEMA OF THE MIND – A storytelling workshop for film-makers and film lovers
Inez Aponte: storyteller
Age 14+ (16 spaces max)

Storytelling is often called the ‘Cinema of the Mind’ as it conjures images that play not on a screen, but inside the heads of listeners. In this workshop we will explore the similarities (and differences) between these two forms and discover what the art of storytelling may teach us about structure, imagery and metaphor.

Inez Aponte is a storyteller, facilitator and community organiser with 19 years experience facilitating workshops for storytellers and changemakers from across the globe.
