Take a trip down memory lane and enjoy a unique cinema viewing experience.

Transition Town Totnes are collaborating with the Totnes WI with the aim to bring people together for a delicious full afternoon tea and mobile cinema experience.

This is a unique one off event not to be missed!

‘Audrey’ (the name of the cinema), was rescued and restored several years ago, and she now travels the length and breadth of the country educating and entertaining an adoring public.

PRICE: £10.00 per person includes cinema experience & full afternoon tea

LOCATION: Masonic Hall & Market Square, Totnes.

TIMES: Session A – tea at 14:00 film at 14:45     Session B – film at 14:00 tea at 14:45

NB: each session is approx. 90 minutes in length.

Conversations with The Wind

A not to be missed event will take place on the evening of Saturday 11th March – ‘Conversations with The Wind’ – an extraordinary encounter between two world class artists, poet Alice Oswald and saxophonist Andy Sheppard. Demain UK Premier

Transition Network is delighted to announce that it will be co-ordinating the community-led distribution of the French film ‘Tomorrow’ (known as ‘Demain’ in France). Tomorrow has been a phenomenon in France. Launched in December 2015, it has been watched by over 1.5 million people, won ‘Best Documentary’ at the Cesar Awards (the French Oscars), been shown to communities, schools, at the United Nations, the European Parliament, in board rooms and local governments. A recent European study ‘Generation What?’ found that the major concern of people between 18 and 34 years old is now ecology, rather than employment, a shift attributed largely to the film.
